Job summary

COPE Health Solutions is seeking a Float Program Manager to support Health Scholar sites across Southern California, including hospital and ambulatory centers. You will assist regional Program Managers, recruit candidates, supervise participants, and help ensure a high-quality program experience.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with hospital executives, data-driven program metrics, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1–2+ years of work experience strongly preferred.
• Passion for student teaching, mentoring and development.
• Strong project and people management skills; experience managing large groups preferred.
• Recruitment experience preferred; comfortable recruiting and networking.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience/interest in health care a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently; role requires you to work at client site as the sole Program Manager.
• Available for regional trainings during evenings and some weekends.
• Willingness to travel to the corporate office in downtown Los Angeles occasionally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Actively recruit and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by attending events and engaging campus resources.
• Provide on-site supervision to program participants (typically 50–200 per site) and offer mentorship.
• Improve or implement on-site operations, including quarterly trainings and major projects.
• Build and manage relationships with hospital client executives and staff.
• Analyze program metrics to report impact and identify value opportunities.
• Plan for future client growth through opportunities for rotation openings.
• Support business development and value-based services.
• Identify and mitigate risks including HIPAA, compliance, and background checks.
