Job summary

Carmeuse North America seeks a seasoned Health & Safety leader to drive the regional strategy toward zero losses and ensure a safe working environment. You will lead, coach, and develop programs spanning inspections, training, and incident investigations.

Responsible for regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration across the region, with travel as needed. Bachelor's in safety field and MSHA/CIH/CSP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related field, with 5+ years safety experience.
• Professional certifications such as MSHA/CIH/CSP preferred.
• MSHA experience desired; OSHA/DOT a strong plus.
• Fluency in English; strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop health and safety programs to reduce incidents at the region.
• Provide coaching to management and hourly employees on health and safety practices.
• Conduct safety inspections and root cause analyses for incidents and near misses.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies across the region.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
• Oversee the regional Health & Safety management system and drive change.
