Job summary

NRG is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to own safety programs across assigned plants, developing, deploying, and improving occupational health initiatives. You will present health of the program to leadership, identify deficiencies, and build sustainable solutions while mentoring safety specialists.

This role emphasizes change management, contract oversight, and effective communications to foster a zero-injury culture and continuous improvement within the safety function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, safety-focused.
• 7+ years in safety with at least 4 years in power plants.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry guidelines.
• Experience with safety and occupational health management systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and risk assessments with recommendations.
• Monitor OSHA regs and industry standards to keep policies current.
• Lead change toward a zero-injury safety culture in the region.
• Coach and mentor safety professionals across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement with safety and operations leadership.
