Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to support multiple plants within the region, developing and deploying safety and occupational health programs. You will lead audits, training and incident investigations while driving continuous improvement and change management.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, coaching abilities, and the ability to work with safety committees and leadership across the organization. Travel to sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years industry/safety experience with at least 4 years of power plant experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations in Electric Power Generation.
• Experience with change management and project management.
• Ability to coach and mentor safety professionals.
• Experience with safety and occupational health management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and improve safety programs across assigned plants.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections and risk assessments with actionable recommendations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure policies remain current.
• Lead a zero-injury safety culture and mentor safety professionals.
• Support plant safety committees and leadership in continuous improvement across NRG.
• Manage safety program components, training, investigations and corrective actions.
