Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking a capable Lead for our Graphic Technical Center to oversee operations and personnel, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery across the region. You will drive staffing, coverage, and cost controls while coordinating with SAP and inventory processes.

You will coach and develop employees, set performance expectations, and partner with customers to resolve issues, aiming for operational excellence and strong customer service in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, printing, ink, or production environment
  • Strong knowledge of ink management, color matching, inventory control, and quality systems
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/inventory management systems
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Graphic Technical Center operations and personnel within the assigned region.
  • Develop performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and manage coaching and development in partnership with HR.
  • Maintain staffing levels to meet contractual obligations and customer requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and standardize operating procedures to support quality, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor regional customer KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, hazard identification, and HSE initiatives.
  • Coordinate urgent and unforeseen Graphic Technician coverage across customer locations.
  • Partner with Commercial teams to ensure customer commitments and service expectations are achieved.
  • Support SAP, supply chain, inventory, and purchasing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead obsolete and return ink inventory reduction programs.
  • Partner with customers to resolve service issues, complaints, and product-related concerns.
  • Manage overtime, scheduling, and vacation planning while balancing coverage and cost control.
  • Maintain regional equipment inventories and support capital equipment requests.
