Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a production ink technician to prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules. You will perform color control checks with X-Rite devices and assist press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting, while maintaining accurate records and a strong focus on safety and quality.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or related production preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and color accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles.
  • Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to support production schedules.
  • Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment.
  • Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records.
  • Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production.
  • Manage ink inventory levels, ensuring proper stock and minimizing excess.
  • Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste.
