Job summary

Working Families Party is seeking a Wisconsin Regional/Statewide Organizer to build our grassroots base in Milwaukee and across southeastern Wisconsin. You will recruit and train organizers, forge partnerships, and lead GOTV field activities for endorsed candidates.

The role requires experience in campaigns, strong community ties, and ability to work with diverse partners. The position may offer some remote work with in-person volunteering in Milwaukee and surrounding counties.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of organizing experience
• Candidates should have at least 3 cycles of campaign experience
• Passion for grassroots and grasstops organizing
• Commitment to social, economic, and racial justice
• Ability to create and manage organizing campaigns
• Ability to communicate about WFP’s work and motivate action
• Critical thinking and problem solving
• Drive and tenacity to advance our mission
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail in logistics and deadlines
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with Southeast politics preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead Wolf Pack volunteer program and recruit hundreds of volunteers
• Train Wolf Pack volunteers and build grassroots leadership
• Build recruitment pipelines by engaging community leaders and groups
• Organize volunteers for campaigns and PAC/C3/C4 activity
• Design and manage member development and political education
• Maintain relationships with allied organizations and leaders
• Collaborate with partners on joint volunteer activities
• Manage contact lists and databases
• Lead GOTV field efforts for priority races and events
• Support relational voter work and postcard program
• Oversee campaign strategy, timelines, and organizing plans
• Organize volunteers for text and phone banking
• Recruit volunteers for campaigns across state
