Job summary

Working Families Party is seeking a Regional Organizer to grow membership and lead electoral programs in Michigan. You will build volunteer bases, manage in-person and virtual events, and coordinate outreach to diverse communities within Congressional District 3.

You will collaborate with leadership and senior staff to turn regional strategy into actions that win local and state-level campaigns for working families.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of in-person or virtual electoral/campaign organizing experience.
• Passion for social, economic, and racial justice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven organizing ability and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently with strong follow-through.
• Attention to detail in logistics and deadlines.
• Experience with diverse communities and stakeholders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow and build our membership base through events, text/call programs, digital organizing and regional attendance.
• Lead onboarding and welcome programs for new members and create membership pipelines.
• Develop a regional activist base to support electoral priorities.
• Achieve party-building goals; analyze political and community landscapes in the region.
• Lead canvasses and volunteer events for endorsed candidates, in-person and virtual.
