Job summary

Intertek's Regional Geotechnical Engineer in Kennesaw, GA will provide leadership in geotechnical engineering across transportation and infrastructure projects. You will evaluate field and lab data, prepare reports, and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules while mentoring staff and developing client relationships.

The role requires a strong technical background, ABET-accredited degree, and Georgia P.E. license. Travel and overtime are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited school and Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering are required.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Georgia P.E. license is required or ability to obtain in state of employment.
• Proficient in listed geotechnical analysis software.
• Obtain Principal Consultant status (CS 5 years’ Geo 8 years’ experience).
• Excellent communication and teamwork across the nation and world.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical engineering support on a variety of project types including transportation, infrastructure, and multi-family developments.
• Perform independent evaluations using standard geotechnical techniques and engineering judgment.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports and project specifications.
• Assign tasks and manage staff workload across projects.
• Engage with clients, attend site meetings, and develop new project opportunities.
• Train and mentor technical staff and ensure safety practices.
