Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction in Kennesaw, Georgia, seeks a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join the Professional Service Industries team. You will conduct geotechnical engineering on local projects, working under supervision to apply standard techniques and contribute to field exploration and laboratory testing.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering; an MS and EIT are preferred. The role may require occasional evenings or weekends to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.
• Strong background in soil mechanics and geotechnical analysis.
• Experience supervising field exploration activities.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable driving record.
• MS in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• Geotechnical engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience in geotechnical report preparation is highly preferred.
• E.I.T. is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments.
• Prepare reports and perform field exploration.
• Coordinate laboratory testing on geotechnical projects.
• Ensure client commitments are met.
