Job summary

Islamic Development & Empowerment in America (IDEA) invites a Development Coordinator to build and sustain relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and community partners across its area. You will coordinate campaigns, events, and outreach while collaborating with regional staff and volunteers to expand IDEA's regional presence.

The role requires travel, strong fundraising experience, and the ability to engage diverse communities in a faith-inspired setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with grassroots organizations or community engagement.
• Must travel as needed to support organizational activities.
• Familiarity with local Muslim community and leaders.
• Strong organizational, project-management, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent oral communication and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong written communication and record keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with competing priorities.
• Fundraising experience is required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and community groups.
• Strengthen existing masajid relationships and build new ones.
• Conduct outreach visits and represent IDEA at events and programs.
• Plan and support regional fundraising activities with the team.
• Respond to donor inquiries with accurate information about campaigns and opportunities.
• Schedule and deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
• Prepare plans, projections, and reports for the Community Fund Development Manager.
• Research local communities and opportunities to support fundraising strategies.
• Continue professional development through training and workshops.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
