IDEA, Islamic Development & Empowerment in America, is seeking a Development Coordinator in Alsip, IL to nurture donor, masajid, business, and community relationships that advance our mission. You will manage an assigned portfolio, secure fundraising opportunities, support regional events, and represent IDEA across the area.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and public-speaking skills, with travel as needed to support campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; fundraising or community engagement experience preferred.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills within diverse communities.
• Experience building and maintaining donor and community relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support organizational activities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, masajid, businesses, and community members in the assigned area.
• Strengthen existing masajid relationships and establish new ones; conduct outreach visits.
• Plan, organize, host, and support regional fundraising activities and events.
• Respond to inquiries with accurate information about campaigns and opportunities for engagement.
• Research local communities and emerging fundraising opportunities to support strategies.
