Job summary

Guardian Flight is hiring a Regional Floating Flight Nurse to transport patients and support scene calls, working with our air transportation team to safely move patients to and from facilities while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires three years in Emergency or Adult Critical Care nursing, an active RN license in area states, CFRN within 24 months, and certs (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP). Starting range is $112,000-$116,000 annually with a 10/20 rotation and housing provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action for critical care patients.
• Manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatrics per physician orders.
• Maintain safe, clean aircraft environment and perform base checks.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
• Be on-time, reliable, professional, and uphold elevated safety and service standards.

REGIONAL FLOATING FLIGHT NURSE INCENTIVES

• Starting Range $112,000-$116,000 annually
• Schedule is a 10 days on/20 days off rotation
• Company paid crew housing while on shift

We’re hiring a Regional Floating Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
