Job summary

Arc3 Gases, Inc. is seeking a Regional Floater to support the Piedmont, NC area. The role involves direct customer interaction, counter and route sales, and loading/unloading cylinders with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will manage inventory, assist in showroom displays, and use your welding product knowledge to advise customers on equipment and procedures. A valid Class B CDL with HazMat and tanker endorsements is required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years welding industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL Class B with HazMat, airbrakes, and tanker endorsement.
• Industry and related product knowledge is preferred.
• Customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must meet physical qualification standards for truck drivers.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs and occasionally more.

Responsibilities

• Perform counter sales and assist customers in-store when necessary.
• Perform route sales duties and assist customers at locations as needed.
• Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle paperwork for purchases.
• Load, deliver and unload hard goods and cylinders; retrieve empties.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Strictly comply with safety rules and DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain driver’s license and endorsements; inspect vehicles as required.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

You will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships because you will have direct, face-to-face contact with Arc3’s customers on a daily basis. The job can be physically demanding and time-sensitive, but you will find it very rewarding as you earn our customers’ trust by providing consistently exceptional customer service.## **Responsibilities and Duties*** Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store when necessary.* Perform route sales duties and assist customers at their locations when necessary.* Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations as required.* Provide excellent customer service in a timely manner by answering phone calls, handling customer complaints, providing all necessary paperwork in relation to purchases, retrieving stock, and assisting in loading customer vehicles.* Advise customers on equipment and materials needed and procedures to follow to complete tasks they wish to perform.* Possess strong welding product knowledge and self-management skills to deliver superior customer service.* Safely and efficiently load, deliver and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers, and retrieve empty cylinders.* Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.* Strictly comply with all safety rules and DOT and OSHA regulations.* Maintain the appropriate drivers’ license and endorsements.* Inspect vehicles before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.* Keep the inside and outside of your truck safe and clean.* Other duties and projects as assigned.## Qualifications**Qualifications*** Two or more years’ experience working in the welding industry preferred.* High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.* Class B CDL with HazMat, airbrakes, and tanker endorsement.* Industry and related product knowledge, as well as experience handling compressed gases preferred.* Customer service or sales experience preferred.* Must be at least 21 years-old.* Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for truck drivers.* Excellent oral communication skills, ability to work independently, self-motivated, and ability to pay attention to detail.* Excellent customer service skills.* Excellent time-management skills.* Excellent driving record.* Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.* Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures.* Ability to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activities.
