Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our regional float Med/Surg pool. This contract role supports nights across multiple hospital locations in Michigan, delivering direct patient care in medical and surgical units while floating as needed.

Under general supervision, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Requires Michigan RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

Two to three (2-3) years of recent clinical nursing experience in medical and surgical settings.
Willingness and ability to float to multiple facility locations.
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; BLS required; TB screening and vaccinations as mandated.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care across multiple medical and surgical units, adapting nursing practices to diverse patient populations.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify potential complications.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based nursing care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
Provide professional nursing services across a broad spectrum of clinical situations and patient acuity levels.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel to ensure coordinated care.
Float to multiple facility locations to meet staffing needs.
