Geisinger is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist Float to support Geisinger Medical Center Danville, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital. The role offers a minimum hiring rate of $30.40 per hour, with premiums rewarding experience and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program and NBRC-registered.
• Licensed to practice Respiratory Therapy in the state.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to float between multiple Geisinger facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document thorough patient assessments.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the team.
• Manage aerosolized meds, secretion techniques, and oxygen therapy.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilators per protocol.
• Educate patients and families on disease management.
• Assist with intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients.
• Support discharge planning for respiratory-related needs.
