Job summary

FirstEnergy's Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. seeks a on-site Supervisor, Regional Operations for Ohio Fleet Operations to lead the Fleet Services Department.

You will oversee maintenance and repair of autos, trucks, aerial devices, and equipment across multiple facilities, ensuring safety and compliance. You will coach staff, schedule work, manage tooling and parts, and support storm operations and mutual aid as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in overhaul, maintenance and repair of automotive and fleet equipment.
• Ability to supervise, lead a team and maintain an efficient organization.
• Valid Driver’s license and knowledge of union contracts.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily garage activities and supervise mechanics assigned to one or more garages.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety rules and ANSI standards.
• Monitor activities and coach employees to achieve productivity and quality.
• Schedule work to maximize fleet availability and control costs.
• Prepare records, timesheets, safety meetings and training documentation.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling and parts procurement with vendors.
