Job summary

The American Red Cross in Omaha, NE seeks a Coordinator II, Fleet to supervise regional fleet maintenance, ensuring DOT compliance, accurate records, and safe vehicle operations. The role requires a strong background in fleet management, 7+ years of experience, and a valid Class A CDL.

On-call for emergencies and travel throughout the region are expectations. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance schedules, managing vehicle registrations, and supporting fleet budgets and insurance

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required; valid Class A CDL
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in vehicle fleet management
• Leadership/communication: Ability to work with multiple levels of staff and management
• Must be able to travel throughout the region and be on-call for emergencies

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance and repair of Regional Fleet Maintenance Program
• Assist with emergency vehicle breakdowns and repairs; on-call 24/7
• Maintain DOT vehicle maintenance and inspections per FMCSA and ARC directives
• Assign vehicles for official business trips and schedule maintenance; ensure accurate records
• Coordinate fleet repairs with Regional Departments and Districts for timely completion
• Assist in formulating Transportation Department Budget and related reports
