Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling, a leading waste and recycling company, is seeking a Region Vehicle Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across multiple locations. You will lead Maintenance Managers, manage payroll and DOT-compliant schedules, and ensure safety and regulatory standards are met for a large fleet.

Responsibilities include budgeting, performance oversight, and collaboration with area leadership to optimize fleet availability, parts inventory, and repair costs.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industry experience managing multiple locations
• CDL preferred
• Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft applications (Word & Excel); SAP software preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to Maintenance Managers across multiple locations, ensuring effective workforce planning, payroll, DOT hour compliance, and attendance management
• Drive audits of preventive maintenance, road calls, warranty recovery, and parts inventory at each location
• Ensure maintenance operations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards and comply with company policy across every site
• Develop maintenance department capability through hiring, training, and performance management within budgeted hours
• Serve as liaison to regional leadership, providing visibility into fleet, container, and equipment status across the territory
• Own maintenance financial performance and partner with location managers to meet budgeted costs across repairs, personnel, purchasing, and inventory
