Job summary

Austin Powder in the United States is seeking a Regional Fleet Maintenance Specialist to oversee maintenance across multiple locations, ensuring safety, efficiency, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, champion fleet software adoption, and mentor maintenance staff while upholding DOT/OSHA standards and strong safety culture.

Travel 30–50% is required, with emphasis on coordinating with field teams and vendors to optimize uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience with diesel engines, DOT-regulated vehicles, and off-road equipment.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise garage maintenance activities, including scheduling, work assignments, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with operations managers to prioritize maintenance based on needs and safety requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of repair orders and maintenance logs using fleet maintenance software.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for operational readiness and safety compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and support for bulk equipment repairs and diagnostics.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating maintenance personnel.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain records of inspections, certifications (e.g., cargo tank inspections), and training.
