Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee seeks a financial analyst to work with the Regional VP, Regional Directors and management on the financial outlook of Network/District Offices. You will research issues, model scenarios and propose investment options to support growth.

You will review revenue sources, expenses, profitability, cash flow and debt leverage, and prepare forecasts and MD/DD net income projections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance required.
• MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of related business experience with financial statements, financial analysis and modeling.
• Broad knowledge of Northwestern Mutual's products, distribution system, field compensation and sales reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to analyze business problems and make decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Northwestern Mutual's Field Management and knowledge of commission systems, contracts and financial programs.

Responsabilités

• Proactively identify Office financial issues and assist senior management with research and resolution options.
• Conduct financial statement health reviews to assess revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow and debt leverage.
• Prepare financial scenarios using modeling tools to direct investments in the Office.
• Collaborate with regional teams and field partners to assess leadership role feasibility.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to define investment strategies and review compensation programs and debt servicing strategies.
• Create financial tools to assess impact and timing of District start-ups and FD/DD appointments.
• Provide summary reporting on Office financial health to guide management decisions.
• Develop long-term financial plans with Field partners and Home Office collaboration.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects to enhance financial consulting processes.
