Job summary

Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. is seeking a Regional Financial Manager in Houston to partner with the Regional President and leadership, delivering financial management, insights, and decision support for strategy and project results.

The role requires strong understanding of construction operations, project lifecycle, estimating, scheduling, cost control, and risk. You will translate project performance into actionable financial insight and lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or construction mgmt from four-year college or university.
• Understanding job cost and percentage of complete accounting principles and processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• CPA, MBA, and/or other advanced certification (CCFIP) a plus.
• Travel occasionally required to job sites

Responsibilities

• Leads development of the project-based annual financial plan including targets and key drivers.
• Performs financial scenario planning considering risks and actions to achieve goals
• Manages quarterly forecast updates to deliver insights on changes and gaps
• Spearheads spending plans at department level
• Supports Monthly Projections - Operations Management Reports
• Monitors progress billings, aged A/R, and collects on slow pay accounts
• Delivers financial analysis with actionable insights across markets and projects
• Leads investment analysis for ROI and capital allocation
• Leads management financial reporting vs budget and prior periods
• Ensures cost code accuracy for GAAP reporting
• Supports month-end closing cycle and cost re-forecasting
• Maintains Vista and Power BI systems as region superuser
• Establishes and oversees accounting controls and procedures regionally
• Conducts department administrative functions per Baker policies
