Deutsche Post in Chicago seeks a Controller for the Midwest to lead CFO Office execution and drive regional financial performance. You will partner with station leadership, product teams, and finance to translate priorities into actions with clear owners and deadlines.

The role focuses on governance, cost controls, working capital, and profitability improvement, coordinating cross-functional initiatives and monthly performance reviews across stations.

Responsibilities

• Lead CFO priorities execution, including business reviews, action tracking, issue resolution, and leadership follow-up.
• Prepare CFO-ready papers, executive summaries, presentations, talking points, and leadership recommendations.
• Represent CFO priorities in discussions with station managers, product leaders, finance teams, and support functions.
• Maintain visibility of regional commitments, blockers, owners, due dates, risks, and next steps.
• Partner with station managers and product leaders to monitor financial performance and drive corrective actions.
• Lead follow-up on underperforming stations, margin deterioration, productivity issues, and working capital exposure.
• Challenge station assumptions and submissions before escalation to the CFO.
• Coordinate monthly station performance discussions and document agreed actions.
• Manage pre-review of exceptional finance approvals including credits, cost protections, capex, leases, and unusual requests.
• Ensure requests include background, rationale, financial impact, documentation, risks, and recommended action.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Controlling, OTC, P2P, R2R, Legal, Procurement, Real Estate to resolve questions before CFO review.
• Track actions to completion and confirm execution as required.
• Lead monitoring and escalation of unbilled shipments, disputes, AR aging, credit exposure, missing billing, and revenue leakage.
• Coordinate action plans with station teams to improve month-end readiness and reduce exposure.
• Drive root cause analysis for profitability issues, billing gaps, disputes, or finance breakdowns.
• Support customer profitability reviews, large account decisions, pricing topics, and margin improvements.
