Job summary

Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. in California seeks a Senior Analyst to join the West Division Finance team. You will support regional financial planning, analysis of statements, capital expenditures, and strategic business insights to drive value for the Pacific Region.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will develop data-driven presentations for leadership, ensure GAAP adherence, collaborate with accounting, and help optimize processes, controls, and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related STEM field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis, or strategy.
• Ability to multi-task, support multiple customers/assignments and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Transform data into information, information into insights and insights into value creation.
• Inform business decisions and improvement priorities through quantitative analysis, KPIs, and tool development.
• Empower leadership by translating questions into data-driven insights to drive success.
• Assist in developing executive presentations for leaders up to the C-Suite.
• Provide due-diligence support for organic investments and evaluate return thresholds.
• Build and maintain relationships across the organization and with internal partners.
• Support other strategic initiatives and projects as assigned by management.
• Partner on GAAP adherence and financial controls, and oversee billing with centralized accounting.
