Job summary

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette is seeking a field organizer to engage supporters and mobilize communities across Central and Eastern Oregon. You will recruit and train volunteers, lead field activities, and build relationships with community partners as part of a dynamic organizing team.

The role focuses on voter engagement, coalition building, and rapid-response efforts during political moments. A strong communicator with grassroots experience will thrive in this hybrid position based

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in organizing, advocacy, or related volunteer work.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal political or legislative systems.
• Experience engaging or recruiting volunteers (including outreach or “cold calling”).
• Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and community advocates.
• Plan and run field activities like canvassing, phone banking, tabling, and events.
• Build relationships with community members, partners, and coalition organizations.
• Support voter engagement efforts and grassroots lobbying initiatives.
• Grow and activate a strong base of supporters across your region.
• Track outreach efforts and maintain accurate data to support organizing goals.
