Job summary

The Illinois Department of Public Health seeks a Field Operations Supervisor (Senior Public Service Administrator) to manage field operations within Region 2, including licensure and federal surveys of long-term care facilities. The role requires RN licensure in Illinois and at least four years of administrative public health experience.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office requirements 1–5 days per week, strong benefits, and opportunities to lead performance improvement

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college.
• Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Public Health related programs.
• Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Preferred Qualifications include 4+ years administrative experience in Medicare/Medicaid related programs, a nursing degree, and SMQT certification.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures; strong coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administers and manages all field operations within the region, including licensure and surveys of long-term care facilities.
• Develops performance data and improvement strategies, including staffing and training needs.
• Serves as supervisor and acts as liaison with long-term care providers and other stakeholders.
