Job summary

Hallcon Corporation in Kansas City is seeking a Transportation Operations Supervisor to coordinate daily field activities, ensuring safe and timely service for customers. You will oversee drivers, yard Staff, and site supervisors, while implementing safety training and performance coaching.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED with 1–2 years of management experience, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of one to two years management experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of Employment Law
• Have a clear understanding of the English language
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Valid Driver’s License with no more than 2 moving violations within the last 3 years, no alcohol / drug related convictions within the last 3 years, no careless/reckless driving conviction with the last 3 years.
• Clean Controlled Substance Screen
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Working knowledge of computer applications specifically Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily field operational issues to ensure safe and timely transportation.
• Communicates with customer field management, including superintendents and safety officers.
• Ensures locations are staffed for maximum van utilization and customer service.
• Hires and trains new employees.
• Maintains adequate staffing with road and yard drivers and schedules time off.
• Supervises Site Supervisors, Yard Coordinators, Road Coordinators and Drivers.
• Trains local supervisors in policies and procedures.
• Conducts regular safety training and meetings with teams.
• Audits vehicle inspections and coordinates maintenance with Fleet Department.
• Ensures accidents and injuries are reported promptly and documentation is complete.
