Black Duck Software, Inc. seeks a Regional Field Chief Technology Officer to serve as a senior technical executive, trusted advisor, and public voice of our technology strategy.

The Regional Field CTO will engage directly with C-level and technical leaders at strategic accounts, translating our AI-driven platform capabilities into credible technical narratives, and representing the company as a thought leader across the industry.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in a senior technical leadership role (CTO, Sales Engineering leader, Principal Architect, or equivalent).
• Proven track record engaging C-level and senior technical audiences at enterprise orgs.
• Domain expertise in application security (SAST, SCA, DAST) and cloud/SaaS platforms.
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts as applied to security and ethical controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex ideas for execs and tech.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor to C-level and senior stakeholders at strategic accounts.
• Lead visible, multidisciplinary technical engagements across the region.
• Represent Black Duck as a technical evangelist through keynotes, webinars, and industry content.
• Translate AI/ML platform capabilities into credible narratives for technical and executive audiences.
• Partner with Sales and Presales on strategic opportunities and roadmap implications.
• Support RFPs and security questionnaires with authoritative technical input.
• Engage strategic accounts to strengthen technical trust and identify expansion opportunities.
• Identify and solve high-impact problems to improve outcomes.
