Job summary

Young Adult Institute, Inc. is seeking an Employment Training Specialist in the Bronx to provide supervision, crisis management, and person-centered employment support for individuals with disabilities.

The role includes developing staff action plans, assisting with job placement, and facilitating training groups to help clients obtain and maintain community employment. Responsibilities include scheduling workplace visits, coordinating meetings with Care Managers, and delivering pre-employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, wellness and safety by supervising individuals we support and manage crises.
• Assist with development of staff action plans and job placement.
• Provide pre-employment counseling and support job development activities.
• Supervise on-site job skills training and coaching at worksites.
• Travel across assigned region to visit employed individuals and gather feedback.
