Job summary

YAI Network is seeking an Employment Training Specialist to supervise and support people we serve, ensuring safety and adherence to OPWDD and HIPAA regulations. You will help implement person-centered plans, assist with staff development, and support individuals toward meaningful employment within the community.

You will provide on-site job coaching, coordinate meetings, and conduct pre-employment counseling as you travel regionally to observe progress and address concerns.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or educational equivalent; or higher.
• One year of relevant work experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Completion of trainings including OPWDD programs and retraining where applicable.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with occasional evening/weekend hours and regular travel.
• Basic computer skills including email and Workday.
• Ability to model/work readiness and professional workplace behavior.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to work with I/DD populations in occupational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and crisis management to people we support in compliance with policies.
• Support person-centered plans and assist with staff development.
• Help individuals pursue employment goals and overcome barriers.
• Manage caseloads and coordinate workplace visits and meetings.
• Support communication, socialization and self-expression at worksites.
• Deliver pre-employment counseling and job development activities.
• Conduct on-site job skills training and coaching.
• Travel regionally to visit workplaces and gather feedback.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and complete required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
