Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking a part-time Employment Training Specialist in New York to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in achieving their employment goals.

The role involves supervising job placements, coordinating with care teams, and facilitating training groups to build job readiness skills. Ideal candidates will have a HS Diploma and experience working with individuals with disabilities.

The compensation is $19.05 hourly, with flexible scheduling required for caseload management.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience providing vocational or pre-vocational services to individuals with disabilities.
• Willingness to work with individuals with I/DD in an occupational setting.
• Ability to teach appropriate workplace behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to individuals during job placements.
• Coordinate and arrange meetings with Care Managers and other professionals.
• Facilitate training groups to assist individuals in obtaining employment.
