Job summary

ALG Senior is seeking an Area Maintenance Manager (Individual Contributor) to provide regional, hands-on maintenance leadership and expert technical support across multiple communities. You will partner with executive leaders to ensure facilities are safe, compliant, and well-maintained, while promoting standard practices across properties.

The role focuses on preventative maintenance, life safety systems, and complex maintenance needs with no direct supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
5+ years in hands-on maintenance or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
Willingness to travel between communities; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Provide regional hands-on maintenance leadership and expert support.
Assist with preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
Conduct safety walks, inspections, and document findings.
Coordinate with executives to ensure safety, compliance, and standards.
Support vendor and project coordination for maintenance needs.
Identify risks and support cost-effective maintenance decisions.
