Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Supervisor, Facilities to lead regional facilities operations and a regional team of Facilities Coordinators. You will manage service delivery, budgets, and projects across offices, labs, hangars, and secure areas while driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will balance coaching, urgent issue resolution, vendor coordination, and data-driven performance improvements in a hands-on leadership role with regional travel and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in facilities, operations, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive facilities experience across operations, vendor management, or a closely related function.
• Demonstrated leadership of people, projects, vendors, or cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting multiple sites, a complex campus, or multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Ability to plan and deliver workplace improvements, moves, service rollouts, minor projects, or related initiatives.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contracts, budgets, and invoices.
• Working knowledge of facility operations and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety).
• Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and senior stakeholder collaboration.
• Willingness to work primarily on-site with regional travel (~20%).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, coach, and develop Facilities Coordinators in the region.
• Set priorities, ownership, and expectations for service, responsiveness, and documentation.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance feedback, and development planning.
• Build cross-site coverage plans and maintain continuity during growth or incidents.
• Foster a culture of ownership, proactive communication, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Elevate skill and succession needs to the Facilities Operations leader.
• Lead day-to-day Facilities Operations across offices, spaces, labs, and secure areas.
• Maintain safe, professional workplaces supporting productivity and continuity.
• Coordinate maintenance, service providers, and landlord obligations.
• Serve as regional escalation point for outages, issues, and risks.
• Implement regional standards, SOPs, and documentation across locations.
• Coordinate with landlords, technicians, and internal partners to resolve issues.
• Support occupancy changes, moves, events, and service needs within the service model.
• Plan and deliver regional facilities projects below capital thresholds; manage scope and cost.
• Define scope, coordinate stakeholders, and close out operational projects.
• For major capital projects, provide requirements and readiness support.
• Participate in commissioning and turnover to verify training and documents.
• Escalate issues exceeding thresholds to leadership.
• Direct and coordinate regional vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Monitor service quality, safety, scope, cost, and performance.
• Review invoices, POs, forecasts, and budgeting documentation.
• Identify cost risks and opportunities for value without compromising safety.
• Support sourcing, onboarding, renewals, and performance reviews with Procurement.
