Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking an Area Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee capital projects and maintenance across the Dayton area. You will partner with RVPs, site managers, and facilities staff to keep buildings safe, compliant, and efficient.

The role requires 5+ years in facilities or project management, strong budgeting and vendor negotiation skills, and experience with SAP. Occasional travel and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, construction or project management.
• Experience managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed locations.
• Experience obtaining bids, negotiating vendor agreements, and managing capital projects.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus, including project tracking, POs, and Maintenance Orders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facility capital improvement and maintenance projects across regions.
• Develop project scopes, specifications and obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate proposals, negotiate pricing, schedules and terms with vendors.
• Oversee projects from planning to closeout and report progress.
• Coordinate with operations to minimize business disruption during execution.
• Track budgets and project spending using SAP; manage POs and MOs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leaders for asset reliability and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance oversight and annual PM program assessments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term facility planning.
• Monitor vendor performance and support procurement activities.
• Travel as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
