Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to manage a portfolio of 4-6 retail offices, ensuring a high-quality consultative client experience across locations. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and drive consistent performance and revenue growth.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong judgment, and the ability to travel between offices to maintain in-person presence and strengthen execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership coaching and accountability.
• Experience driving business and financial results across locations.
• Experience managing change and new processes.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed for office readiness.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and Saturdays as required.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and impact across locations.
• Lead adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals.
• Provide real-time feedback to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop talent benches.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Manage daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Prepare for seasonal demand with staffing and facilities readiness.
