Job summary

H&R Block seeks an Area Experience Leader to supervise 4-6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align priorities, and manage both client outcomes and business performance.

You’ll own office readiness, staffing, facilities, and day-to-day operations while traveling between offices to maintain hands-on leadership and strong execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail/service/operations environment with accountability for performance.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven coaching ability, developing teams and holding them accountable.
• Experience driving business results across multiple locations including labor management.
• Comfort with change and adoption of new processes and ways of working.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations with independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact; use insights to improve experiences.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools with hands-on leadership.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; set expectations and accountability.
• Provide coaching based on observed behavior, performance, and real-time feedback.
• Identify patterns, address gaps, and develop bench strength and high-potential talent.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, labor, compliance, SOPs, and service delivery are consistent.
• Oversee office readiness including facilities, supplies, and seasonal preparation.
