Job summary

H&R Block seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set expectations, and drive operational excellence in staffing, facilities, and compliance.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, travel between offices, and a focus on client outcomes and business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations with performance accountability.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership capability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize competing demands.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on behaviors, performance, and feedback.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength and talent.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and take actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance across offices.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, equipment, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
