Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across locations. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, aligning priorities and executing on business results with hands-on leadership.

This role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and the ability to travel between offices to maintain in-person presence and drive performance. Competitive benefits and pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize across locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to travel frequently in day, with minimal overnight travel.
• Ability to work a schedule aligning with operational hours including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4-6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations, using insights to reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors across offices.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals by setting clear expectations and coaching to performance.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and outcomes to strengthen execution.
• Identify patterns across offices, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and business results across assigned offices.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure consistent daily operations across offices including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Own office readiness including facilities, equipment, supplies, recruiting, onboarding for seasonal demand.
• Preferred qualifications include seasonal workforce planning, cross-functional partnering, and office readiness across locations.
