Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Area Experience Leader to manage a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, ensure office readiness, and drive business results across multiple locations.

The role balances strategic oversight with in-office leadership, focusing on culture, performance, and client outcomes while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail/service/operations.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven ability to coach and develop teams.
• Experience achieving business and financial results across multiple locations.
• Comfort with travel between offices.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching for performance.
• Provide coaching based on observed behaviors and performance.
• Identify patterns across offices and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Ensure daily operations including staffing, scheduling, compliance.
• Prepare offices for seasonal demand with recruiting and onboarding.
