Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader (Area Experience Leader) to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a high-quality, consultative client experience. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, align operations, staffing, and compliance, and drive business results across the portfolio.

This role requires strong leadership, a client-centric mindset, and the ability to travel between offices to maintain in-person presence and consistent performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years work experience leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment with accountability for performance outcomes.
• Strong client-centric mindset with experience delivering consultative client experience.
• Strong leadership capability with proven ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations, including labor management.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
• Experience managing facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including handling client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Ability to travel frequently between offices and work across locations.
• Ability to schedule around operational hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; coach to performance.
• Provide coaching based on observations and feedback.
• Identify patterns and develop bench strength across offices.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and improve results.
• Oversee daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Prepare for seasonal demand and office readiness.
