Job summary

H&R Block seeks an Area Experience Leader to oversee 4–6 offices, ensuring a consistent consultative client experience and strong operational execution. You will coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, set clear expectations, and drive performance across locations.

You will partner with teams to anticipate client needs, strengthen execution, and support business growth while traveling between offices as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in multi-unit retail, service, or operations with outcomes responsibility.
• Strong client-centric mindset delivering consultative experience.
• Leadership capability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
• Proven ability to drive business and financial results across locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Ability to prioritize across locations with independent judgment.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including escalations.
• Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
• Flexibility to travel frequently between offices for in-person presence.
• Willingness to work hours including evenings, weekends, and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the client experience across 4–6 offices with discipline.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations to drive improvements.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with clear expectations.
• Provide coaching based on observed behavior, performance, and feedback.
• Identify patterns, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and operational performance across offices.
• Monitor metrics and trends; take actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, supplies, recruiting, and onboarding.
