Job summary

Braven is seeking an Executive Director to launch and oversee the NC region, leading the development of its first higher education partner and a regional team. The role involves building partnerships with universities and employers, raising significant funds, and shaping Braven's external affairs strategy in collaboration with central leadership.

The position requires 7–10 years of leadership experience, strong fundraising capability, and a deep commitment to Braven's mission.

Qualifications

BS/BA required with at least 7–10 years of executive leadership experience.
Experience leading a department and achieving outcomes with an inclusive, sustainable team culture.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Asana, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence.

Responsibilities

Implement a multi-year strategic plan to scale Braven's NC region.
Ensure strong program execution for Fellows, volunteers, and partners.
Build and expand a regional advisory board to maximize impact and sustainability.
Manage relationships with universities and employer partners.
Raise Braven's brand awareness through thought leadership and public engagement.
Explore local policy efforts when relevant.
Lead fundraising to raise roughly $9M before program launch.
Grow a diverse and sustainable funding base.
