Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. seeks an experienced estimator to manage and administer estimating functions across the assigned region, overseeing budgets, staffing, and work assignments while aligning with corporate objectives.

You will collaborate with project managers to negotiate purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders, maintain the cost database, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 in supervision.
• Willingness to travel 20% - 40%.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers the estimating functions in assigned region, area or group to include operating budgets, staffing assignments, and work assignments.
• Implements established estimating policies in assigned region, area or group to meet overall corporate objectives.
• Works with project managers to provide administrative and technical assistance in negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders during procurement.
• Supervises the preparation of market cost studies, materials and methods, and recommends appropriate changes to database.
• Assists region leadership by reviewing project details and provides recommendations.
