Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead and administer the estimating function across regions. You will work with project managers to negotiate purchases, subcontracts, and changes, and supervise cost studies and database maintenance.

Travel is required 20-40% and you will review final estimates for accuracy while coordinating with design leads to ensure constructability and bid competitiveness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manages and administers the estimating functions in assigned region to include budgets, staffing, and work assignments.
• Implements established estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
• Produces and reviews cost studies, materials, and methods; maintains the cost database.
• Coordinates with project managers to negotiate purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Reviews final estimate and proposal packages for accuracy and completeness for formal quotation.
