Qualifications

6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
Bachelor's Degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
Professional Engineer or equivalent certification
Master's degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study

Responsibilities

Utilize risk assessments and compliance evaluations to drive continuous improvement initiatives that minimize environmental impacts.
Communicate and implement best practices to sustain those gains.
Manage multi-site responsibilities to comply with air emissions, storm-water, waste, wastewater and other environmental laws and required reporting.
Develop and maintain relationships with business partners to support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
Ensure conformance with Amazon Environmental policies through effective execution of Amazon Operational Environmental Procedures.
Develop environmental procedures as dictated by business and regulatory needs.
Provide strategic environmental support and regulatory review for future growth and expansion.
Partner with operations, special projects and support teams in supporting the change management process.
As organization scales, grow to manage a team to support business needs.
Facilitate root cause analyses for environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Conduct risk assessments and audits as necessary.
Measure and analyze sites’ performance against requirements and policies.
