Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Program Manager to lead environmental compliance across AWS manufacturing facilities in the Central AMER region, based in Florence, KY.

You will develop standards, monitor metrics, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence and safety in production environments. Qualifications

• BA/BS in biology, environmental science, chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering or related field required.
• Broad knowledge of US environmental regulations.
• 5+ years of environmental, regulatory and risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing due diligence and permitting for new manufacturing facilities.
• Develop new compliance programs for first of a kind operational processes.
• Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
• Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization.
• Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.
• Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance.
• Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement.
• Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.
• Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.
• Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.
• Assist in time-critical report submission to various governmental agencies.
• Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective action.
