Ergon, Inc. seeks a Regional Environmental Specialist to support day-to-day compliance across asphalt and petroleum plants and terminals within a defined region.

This field-based role emphasizes inspections, waste management, spill response, sampling coordination, and keeping site records audit-ready. You will work with plant personnel and regulators on permits and reporting, while traveling regionally to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's in Environmental Science, OH&S, or related field.
• 2+ years in environmental, EHS, or compliance in industry preferred.
• Familiarity with waste management, spill prevention, and stormwater.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day environmental contact for multiple plants.
• Conduct inspections, self-audits, and track findings.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling.
• Support SPCC and SWPPP programs with inspections and updates.
• Respond to spills/incidents and assist with investigations.
• Collect samples and coordinate with labs for reports.
• Maintain records and calendars to meet deadlines.
• Deliver hands-on environmental training to staff.
