Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Environment Specialist to provide regulatory compliance expertise across multiple manufacturing sites. You will lead permitting, audits, and corrective actions, and partner with EHS, Operations, Engineering, and Legal to strengthen environmental programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field with extensive environmental compliance experience, knowledge of ISO 14001, and strong analytical skills. Travel to sites within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive environmental compliance experience; master's or higher preferred.
• Experience across multiple environmental regulatory programs (air permitting, hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, etc.).
• Ability to independently interpret environmental regulations and permit conditions.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
• Professional certifications such as CHMM, PE, QEP, REM preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel to manufacturing sites within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental technical support and subject-matter expertise to manufacturing sites across the region.
• Evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and company standards.
• Lead environmental audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews; develop corrective actions.
• Provide technical oversight for air permitting, emissions inventories, and regulatory reporting.
• Verify permits, registrations, and authorizations align with site operations and conditions.
• Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including storage, labeling, and disposal.
• Support wastewater and stormwater permitting, sampling, monitoring, and reporting.
• Support spill prevention, chemical management, and environmental emergency response.
• Investigate environmental incidents and drive root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Review environmental data for permit tracking and regulatory reporting accuracy.
