Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience with proven leadership capabilities or significant project management experience.
• Professional Engineering license desired (will vary state by state; higher management having PE could eliminate the need at lower level).

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, management and technical oversight of distribution design and field engineering (Power Quality, Voltage issue resolution, feeder level distribution planning, contingency switching, reliability programs).
• Manages group resources to achieve group maintenance goals, reliability and financial goals. Manages resources and budget activities to achieve strict compliance with Entergy's guidelines.
• Provides operational support at the jurisdictional and network level to improve customer satisfaction and reliability performance. Provides technical expertise to local Jurisdiction on items arising from local and state regulatory agencies.
• Provides training and coaching to work group to ensure all employees are familiar with Entergy's policies and procedures required to serve customers and comply with all applicable codes for designing and maintaining electrical distribution facilities.
• Manages special/large projects including process development, storm restoration and other ad hoc jurisdictional and system assignments.
• Serves in leadership role during emergency response and storm restoration efforts. Provides oversight of 24/7 engineering response to support operations.
