Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Field Engineer at the Beaumont location. The role involves meeting with customers to determine electric needs and performing planning, maintenance and design tasks for routine, non-routine and emergency restoration activities.

The position requires strong engineering principles, project management capabilities, leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and participate in storm restoration efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year accredited institution.
• 2+ years experience for Engineer II; 4+ for Engineer III; 6+ years for Sr Engineer.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to Engineer Associates and Assistants and local area line groups.
• Provide project management for large projects including highway relocations, governmental projects, planned improvements and reliability projects.
• Review and approve electrical designs that meet customer needs and standards for system reliability.
• Represent Entergy in meetings with external customers, architects, developers, contractors and government entities.
• Perform engineering calculations to aid in planning and corrective measure projects.
• Assist with storm restoration efforts both locally and in other locations.
